Online AGM 9 December 2021

important message from the board - 16.11.2021

Dear EJTA-colleagues,

With many regrets and great disappointment the EJTA Board has decided to convert our 2021 Annual General Meeting (AGM), scheduled for 8, 9 & 10 December, from a live meeting into an online event.

The worsening COVID-situation in most European countries has left us no choice. The initial idea of finally having the opportunity to meet each other in person, discussing important issues in a live setting, having dinner together and socialize, is no longer feasible. It even has become uncertain if travelling to Belgium will still be possible next month.

We warmly invite you to participate in the online AGM, on Thursday 9 December, from 10.00 am until 1.00 pm (Brussels time).

On the agenda will still be many highly interesting and relevant topics, such as the Report of the President, the welcoming of new members, the presentation of the updated Tartu Declaration, the election of a new Board member, the announcement of the winner of the 2021 Council of Europe Factcheck Award, the invitation to the next EJTA Conference in May 2022 in Aarhus. The interactive discussions about the EJTA Strategy and about International Projects and Exchanges, that were scheduled for the live AGM, will be added to the agenda of the conference in May.

Next week, you will get more information about the virtual AGM on 9 December.

For now, it is important to save that date, and – if applicable – to cancel travel and stay arrangements.

We really hope to see all of you at the virtual AGM and we cherish the idea to meet each other in person again next May.

On behalf of the Board,

Eric Nahon, President

Nadia Vissers, Director
