Dr. Vinzenz Wyss is a professor of journalism and media research at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences where he heads the Research Department of the Institute of Applied Media Studies. He studied German literature, Sociology and Communication Science at the University of Zurich where he awarded a PhD in Communications. His research is focused on journalism theory, newsroom quality management and media performance assessment. He is currently involved in applied research projects and furthermore acts as consultant for media quality management issues for Swiss National Television and private broadcasters.
