We agreed in Valencia last year to have more ‘meet your colleagues’ sessions. There is so much to learn form each other, especially in these times of crisis in the media. </p> <p> Nearly fifty colleagues gathered in the old university building in beautiful Sofia. </p> <p> After five years I step down as president. With pleasure (less work) and regret (it was great work). </p> <p> I would especially like to thank those I worked most closely with: the friends in the Board, the friends in Maastricht at the European Journalism Centre, especially Wilfried Ruetten and Bianca Lemmens, and those of you who worked on various projects and sessions. </p> <p> A very special thank you to Nico Drok: the think-tank of the EJTA Board. Nico did, and is still doing, invaluable work on the competences and the catalogue of international courses.
